Ok as everybody knows our club has completely fallen apart "what ever", it has not, I have still been running the sunday singles league at canton. I did loose the president and treasurer, but hey I was the one that walked into Jay's store and asked him to be president, and also choose Matt to be the treasurer. I did not know that it would turn into such a mess so soon, and in Matt's defense "he did not try to take over or ruin the club", Jay quit because he said he had to deal with his store.
So due to these recent events I am asking for people to step up if you want to have a club, I have all of the club plastic and other merchandise as of this morning, and I will be taking over the club funds by sometime next week, I have complete records of every cent that the club has brought in and put out in the last year or so, which was made public at our last club meeting, where at the most only 10 of our 80 plus members showed up. So if you have something to say post away. I really don't want or need the extra responsibility, but if we can some how form a team of rational and responsible individuals we can bring back the SCDGA even stronger. Peace Dynamite Double D

Dissolve it for a less stressful approach (the club was set up by me as a business, a business is a full time job that no one relized they didnt have time for, so make it not a business) what i mean is let anyone run a event in stark a courtesy fee of 30% of total profit (like we do with leagues $1 to the club type thing) from event would be paid to the club for helping, carry no plastic anymore, just run leagues leave the big tournaments to whomever wants to run them, keep the tags going and leagues whatever is less stress and more fun. you could still have a board of directors with the clubs best interest in mind and chat about how to accomplish things and still work with the park. still collect club dues spend all cash on baskets should be almost 9 new baskets for canton without the wasted $ of powder coating (every three baskets powder coated is a new basket) have a tournament disperse the club plastic till gone and spend that money of baskets, new main signs for our courses or what have you. I vote for Eric Bauer to be treasurer my 2 cents.
who's fixing basket 19 at canton, needs new bolts it fell to the ground?

It saddens me to see the club I help found in such a state. I am finally back in the Canton area after a decade or so out of state. It only takes a handful of dedicated members to lead all. It seems communication has broken down.
I am not going to go on about the "good ole days" or preach about things as I have been away from the organization of the sport for a while.
BUT I will offer my assistance to help reorganize the club and set a positive tone to go forward. I would like to sit in on a meeting and listen for a while. Let me know if this would be something that is needed.

I for one would welcome any new opinions. I would love to see all the hard work that was put into this club not go by the wayside.

I would also like for you to come and sit in a meeting with us, and value your input to the club. I am willing to do what needs done in order to help bring this club back on track and get things in order. I have been out of the loop for a while, til this year, so there are a lot of things that I don't know. But I am willing to learn and listen, so I can help do whatever needs done.
On a different note, does the club still offer to pay for the Officials test with the PDGA ? If so, i would like to study and take the test, so maybe i could run a few tournaments, or atleast help more with them. Maybe even start a series of events in the area to help build up the reputation once more of the SCDGA putting on GREAT tournaments again, like we did before.

Check with wernet for the info. We are part of the NEO Alliance and anyone in the club/alliance can take the test for free.
